Initial Configuration
If you have not yet installed OVDLT, see the Installation article.
If you have successfully installed your OVDLT application, you should see a home page with sample data and videos similar to this:
The initial installation includes four default registered users. You do not have to login as a registered user to use the basic features of the Web site, but logging in as a registered user gives you access to additional features and privileges:

It is strongly recommended that you change the passwords of the default users as soon as possible, especially the administrator, cataloger, and collections users. See the Managing Users article for more information.
The next step is to configure your OVDLT application for your organization. This involves:
- Defining your library-specific information, such as the site masthead title and subtitle, the site copyright statement, visual theme for the site, etc.
- Configuring the metadata elements and controlled vocabularies you will use to catalog videos in your collection
- Providing text for your site informational pages (the About, Contact, News, and Privacy Policy pages)
- Defining your users and their privileges on the site (the About, Contact, News, and Privacy Policy pages)
